TOWNSEND, DE, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Delaware Renaissance Faire (Delafaire) celebrates its fifth season of adventure this fall, and this year, Opening Day falls squarely on Halloween. The Faire returns to Firebase Lloyd for three themed weekends of family fun, live entertainment, and immersive experiences: Oct. 31–Nov. 1, Nov. 7–8, and Nov. 14–15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, rain or shine, at 375 Saw Mill Branch Road, Townsend, Del.

Now a beloved First State fall tradition, Delafaire marks its fifth season with spectacle at every turn. Guests can cheer on knights in full steel armor as Armored Combat Worldwide presents live, unscripted combat every weekend. The Daly Riders return with their Master of the Horse competition, featuring ring-lancing, mounted archery, and more, while Taylor's Renaissance Country Dancing invites guests of all ages to join in historical group dances. New this season, mermaid Aria Oceansong will make a splash as she serenades Faire-goers.

"Reaching our fifth season is a milestone we share with every family, performer, and vendor who has helped build this Faire," said Erin Van Yuga, President & CEO of Found Artifact Entertainment LLC, organizers of the Faire. "Delafaire is Delaware's very own Renaissance festival, and we take real pride in that. Opening on Halloween makes this anniversary season even more special, and we can't wait to welcome guests through the gates.”

Adventurers can also take on quests across the grounds, including Vancier Magibleu's Conundrum, a Faire-wide scavenger hunt, and Adventures From the Wizard's Tower, a roaming role-playing game. In the Gaming Glen, guests can borrow from a library of family-friendly games, try their luck at the prize wheel, or face off in Magic: The Gathering Jumpstart duels.

Themed Weekends

This year's Delafaire will feature three themed weekends, each with exclusive entertainment and daily costume contests:

Halloweekend (Oct. 31–Nov. 1) – Celebrate Halloween at the Faire with trick-or-treating. Plus, the high-energy acrobatic sister duo Topsy Turvy returns this weekend only.

Celtic Weekend (Nov. 7–8) – Raise a cheer for the Emerald Isle with Triantán, a Philly-based trio that breathes new life into traditional Irish fiddle tunes and maritime songs with rich strings and vocal harmonies.

Fantasy Weekend (Nov. 14–15) – Close out the season in a realm of myth and imagination, featuring exclusive performances by The Harlot Queens, a touring comedic musical troupe known for original songs, parodies, and fan favorites.

Feast, Shop, and Be Merry

Delafaire's marketplace will feature more than 120 artisan craft vendors, making the Faire the perfect place to get a jumpstart on holiday shopping. Guests can also watch skilled artisans at work, with blacksmithing demonstrations from Bucky the Blacksmith and pottery demonstrations from Solstice Born Pottery.

More than a dozen food and drink vendors will serve everything from traditional Renaissance Faire delicacies, like turkey legs and Scotch eggs from Mel's Magickal Meals, to local favorites, like Bobby Chuckie's hot dogs out of Milton, Del. There will be food for all, including gluten-free and vegan options. Pub proceeds will benefit the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science, a 501(c)(3) organization.
